Crop In Style Paper Taker

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I warmly call this my paper purse. For carrying paper it is the best thing I have found. It is lined with fabric and holds 12” X 12” AND 8 1/2 “ X 11” paper. The entire bag measures 14” X 3 7/8” X 13 3/8”.
There are 6 dividers included; each divider has a clear pocket to hold my stickers, embellishments, scraps and more. You can take advantage of the dividers by separating your patterned paper from cardstock or however you want to use the 6 built in dividers. They can be used to sort by manufacturer or by theme, I usually divide my paper by color.
This paper taker holds A LOT of paper. Seriously, this holds a very large amount of paper and this sturdy paper taker can handle the weight. It’s not like one of those flimsy plastic accordion-type file systems. The Crop In Style Paper Taker is durable and very sturdy.
It does a great job keeping things dry when you get caught out in the rain/snow. It’s the flaps on the side the side that keep the paper safe while traveling. It also is made with strong Velcro that doesn’t come open while you are carrying it. I haven’t ever had my paper get bent edges or corners while traveling. This is very well constructed.
The Crop In Style – Red, Black and Cream Collection – Paper Taker is easy to carry for the on the go scrapper. On the back there is a handle that will easily attach to your rolling tote making it even easier to take out with you. Get yours today. Last time I checked the Crop In Style – Red, Black and Cream Collection there was only 2 left in current stock selling for $29.99. Don’t wait!
Mono Permanent Refill Six Pack
October 9, 2008
This strong bond adhesive refill fits the palm-sized Mono Adhesive Dispenser. It is an acid free, permanent bond that is great using it for all of our card making, scrapbooking, and paper crafting projects. It is CK okay and Photographic Activity Test (PAT) approved.
Each refill is 1/3 inch X 472 inches or 8.4mm X 12m and there are 6 refills in each box.
It’s difficult to find an adhesive runner that doesn’t unravel all over the place and doesn’t gunk up. I have found that the Permanent Mono Adhesive flows the best when I don’t press down on it too hard. It will last a long time and when it does need a refill, the refills are easy to change. I also love these because they are easy enough for my kids to use, I usually have two or three opened up at once just so the kids also have access to them. They are very easy to use in paper crafting, which I love because it is hard to find adhesive you really like and want to use often.
I order this refill pack myself because I don’t ever want to completely run out in the middle of a project. Get your Mono Permanent Adhesive Refill Six Pack for $20.79 so you too can avoid running out in the middle of your project. This is one of those things I always keep a small stock of, buying in a six pack helps that.
Perfect Paper Stackable Paper Trays
October 6, 2008
I like having my paper visible and easily accessible and these stackable paper trays can be used with card stock and colored or patterned paper. They are perfect to hold 8.5” x 11” paper/card stock. The Display Dynamics Perfect Paper Stackable Paper Trays are very sturdy, so they’ll hold up for years to come.
You won’t have any trouble quickly finding the paper you are looking for. These trays can display paper and embellishments so you can see what’s in there while they are staying protected and organized. They work well for others things besides paper too. Some examples would be to store stickers, tags, embellishments, pictures.
I do like to keep my paper separated by color family - the colors may blend in together but I think it stays better organized. These easily stack together, are well constructed and make things much simpler at finding and accessing each item you need while preparing cards or page layouts. Perhaps you will sort paper/cardstock by pattern or manufacturer, or separate colored cardstock from pages currently working on separated from any scrap paper.
The Display Dynamic Perfect Paper Stackable Paper Trays can be the source for you to save on the space you have as they take up a very small space while providing great storage for your papers. If you are interested in getting your set of 10 Display Dynamics Perfect Paper Stackable Paper Trays they are currently selling for $59.99, I’m sure you will be happy with the product.
Portable Scrapbooking Table
October 2, 2008
Is it a pain to think of having to drag your projects out into a room and even harder to leave it out until it is completely finished? Or do you have little kids or maybe grandkids that make it impossible to leave your “work-in-progress” out unless you really don’t mind them getting into it.
Have you ever been right in the middle of your project when company suddenly stops over? Or do you find yourself spending more time pulling out and putting away all of your material than is actually spent scrapbooking? Then this is the perfect workspace for you! Along with your project, The Scrap-N-Stow Portable Scrapbooking Table can be put away at a moment’s notice. It also keeps sharp tools and materials away from small fingers.
Simply stop where you are, fold up the “Scrap N Stow Portable Scrapbooking table” and slide the 4 ft long table under your bed. It really is that simple to put away. Then when you get back to work everything will be right in the place you left it; once the lid is closed, any work stays just as it was left.
I’ve been looking at organizational things for crafts and this caught my eye. I do have my own crafting room but space is always an issue in any home where a crafter resides. Plus the ability to leave my things out and put it away with them still out, I love that!
This portable table is a perfect solution for all of us who have limited space, who are always heading out to a scrapbooking class or a friends house. The sturdy work area is technically 52” x 26”. It has wheels and handles on it just like we have on our suitcases, so it’s easy to pull out to the car. The portability would make it super simple to work on my crafts in various areas inside/outside the house.
Compartments can be used for those pages in progress or for storing our tools. A paper trimmer can fit into the lower left-hand compartment and a stack of 12 x 12 paper/cardstock will fit in the lower right-hand compartment. We can keep photos in the upper left compartment. This makes selecting photos, cropping and arranging them in a large workspace very efficient. The storage area for materials and supplies has a rim around each section, so that things won’t easily get knocked off.
Remaining compartments can hold things like your embellishments or your scissors, any adhesives you may have or even a corner rounder will fit. So basically all of your common scrapbooking supplies will fit within this table, keeping everything within reach for your in-progress projects!
It is a scrapper’s dream table being a very well constructed heavy table. This is well worth the investment currently at $189.95. The Scrap-N-Stow - Portable Scrapbooking Table has been a wonderful solution to my scrapbooking needs!
Fiskars Ultimate Craft Trimmer
September 26, 2008
This Fiskars 12” Ultimate Craft Trimmer is a trimmer that is lightweight and cuts straight! Let me tell you, this is a big deal to me! After seeing and testing lots of trimmers that were either too big and heavy to have sitting out on my desk/table or they had problems of cutting straight, I have to admit I am pretty excited to let you in on this! I am like a lot of crafters that end up trying out various trimmers, and this is one I consistently go back to. It is also the oldest trimmer I have.
It’s a trimmer small enough to put in a basket next to my desk so it’s right there easy to quickly grab when I need it. The non-skid feet on the bottom keep the trimmer securely on most surfaces.
There’s a 13 ½ inch measuring surface for full 12 inch cuts with its steady arm in one smooth slice. The rotary blade makes the cut so smooth. Two EZ change Rotary blade Carriages are included. Besides your usual straight edge there is also the carriage for scoring.
The self-leveling ruler swings out and has a paper guide to allow for more precise measuring. It’s easy for a right or a left handed person to align paper for trimming.
The clear fingerprint guard is to help keep fingerprints off papers and pictures while trimming them up. The Fiskars Ultimate Craft Trimmer claims to cut straight, precise cuts of up to five-20 old sheets without tearing, fanning or shifting your paper. And honestly, I have yet to find a piece of paper that it can’t cut smoothly. Cutting smaller pieces of paper/pictures are also simple to cut.
Included with the Ultimate Craft Trimmer are 3 interchangeable face plates. For fine trimming there’s the 1/8 inch guideline. For all of our photos and cards the ½ inch guideline does the trick. And the angle guideline is useful for all of our special shape needs.
This is a great trimmer for the price currently at $31.99. Get your Fiskars 12″ Ultimate Craft Trimmer to help you on your cards, pictures and other craft items today!
45 Re-Crafting Projects
June 23, 2008

The uber crafty hosts of the DIY Network’s popular show, Creative Juice, took their unique crafty outlook on life and put it in print in their book, Creative Juice. Creative Juice, written by Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza, is 128 pages with 45 re-crafting projects to make with recycled stuff. The book is a paperback making it affordable for all crafters…and this is a book for all crafters! Whether you’ve been crafting for years or you’re just getting started, this will still be an awesome craft book for you. You’re not going to find that any of the projects in the book are too elementary or too difficult. The book was written for grown-ups but kids will love the projects too! This book instantly became my favorite craft book as soon as I started turning the pages!
The best part about Creative Juice is that it is chock full of clear, color photos and illustrations. Each project includes a short summary of what the project is, a list of what you need, easy to follow instructions and tips. Some of my favorite craft projects included in the book are: Word Game Funky Frames, Bleached Rocker Tees, Spicy Tea Soap and the incredible Folk art Hubcap Candelabra.
After you read flip through Creative Juice and see the awesome projects that these two clever and creative minds have come up with, you’re going to be inspired to take your crafting to the next level! And you’ll definitely think twice the next time you go to throw something away! You’ll be asking yourself, “Hey, what could I make with this?”

Staz-On Ink Pads
June 21, 2008
This is a solvent based stamp pad designed for decorating non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal, shrink plastic cellophane, aluminum foil, leather, and acrylic - it is permanent ink. With Staz-On you’ll achieve a beautiful stained glass appearance due to the transparent nature of the ink. Currently you can get the Staz-On Ink Pads anywhere from around $6 to $9.
I like using Staz On when I am going to watercolor. Since the ink is permanent, it doesn’t run like other inks may. It’s recommended that you use a staz on ink cleaner for cleaning your stamps off.

The ideas are endless with all the colors to choose from. Choose the color you would like:
- Midnight Blue
- Azure
- Saddle Brown
- Rusty Brown
- Timber Brown
- Forest Green
- Olive Green
- Eden Green

- Vibrant Violet
- Cherry Pink

- Cotton White
- Teal Blue

Making Memories 12 x 12 Paper Trimmer
June 19, 2008

The Making Memories paper trimmer gets rave reviews from me. Weighing less than 5 pounds, it folds in half for quick and easy storage and the self-sharpening blade means I never have to buy a replacement. But if you have ever had experience with other paper trimmers, what really matters is how accurate it cuts. Well this cuts perfectly each and every time.
Have you ever had to trim off the white pieces off of a photo or something like that? This trimmer will cut the tinniest sliver of paper for you. You probably won’t believe how close it trims until you use it for yourself. There have been times when I cut a piece of paper just a little too big - not realizing it until I started putting a card together. I have easily taken just a little bit off without messing up my card.
Every cut is precisely where I want it. Using the grid to line things up after unfolding the MM Precision Fold Trimmer because the fold can make the top and bottom edges not line up perfectly. I love that it folds out if you want and you can use it folded as well. I have a smaller craft area where I am right now so I’ve been using it while folded and on my lap and it works perfectly.
Another cool feature would be the magnetic ruler that is used for scoring and holding in place while cutting with no slipping around. You can attach it to the trimmer at any measurement, like at 6 inches, and when you put the paper right against the ruler you will get perfect 6” cuts every time!
The MM 12” x 12” Precision Trimmer has a cutting grid with pre-measured templates for 4” x 6”, 5” x 7”, 8” x 10” and 8.5” x 11”; It is marked in inches and centimeters with .5” cutting grid. Get your MM 12 x 12″ Precision Trimmer today so you can see for yourself how useful it really is!
Susan Bates Silvalume Crochet Hook Set
June 17, 2008

This Susan Bates Silvalume Crochet Hook Set comes in a pouch with 6 different sized hooks (Sizes F-5 to K-10 ½). The different sizes go with whatever size yarn I have. If you’re just starting out they are easier to use than other brands and once you get going, you can go pretty quickly. Because these hooks are very smooth and don’t snag your yarn or thread. This is the set I purchased when my friend first taught me to crochet and I am glad.
These are the best crochet hooks that I’ve found. This set is made with durable aluminum that is polished for extra smoothness. I see other hooks that I’d like to try, but honestly I haven’t just because of how I love these ones. A friend of mine has a different set of hooks and somehow she ends up snagging the yarn, not every stitch, but often enough for me to not like them.
You can find this set of 6 at Amazon for $9.99. This qualifies for free shipping with a minimum $35 purchase of other qualifying items offered by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores®. Get your Susan Bates Silvalume Crochet Hook Set today!
Cuttlebug Die-Cutting and Embossing Machine
June 16, 2008

I love this portable, user-friendly die-cutting and embossing machine. It can be used for paper crafting, scrapbooking, and school projects. The Cuttlebug makes it easy to cut shapes, emboss shapes, or you can cut then emboss. This machine has a roller style that works with any die on the market that fits through a 6 inch hole in the machine.
It’s very simple to use. Place the cutting material, die faced-up on the lowered platform between the cutting pads. Then just turn the handle to move the die through the machine. It’s also a portable unit that folds up with a built-in handle that pops up for you to carry. It includes a 2-by-2inch die and four 2-by-2-inch folders for professional-quality embossing.
I got to try this machine out at my local craft store. They were doing one of those all day demos on various products and this is easy to use. My daughter got the chance to turn the handle and she didn’t have a problem doing so. A huge plus in my book because anything she can do without too much of my help is great! That gives us the chance to both craft rather then spending lots of time getting things ready.
This unit is awesome because it works with all of your dies - Sizzlets, Sizzix, and Quickutz! Currently selling from $56 to $70 you can get the Cuttlebug Die-Cutting and Embossing Machine now.
